Chemistry

This class is a full year class and will cover a year of high-school chemistry. We will cover a variety of subjects: from the laws of thermodynamics and balancing chemical equations to stoichiometry and acid/base reactions. Chemistry is one of my favorite subjects and I look forward to this class. In class we will do weekly labs, quizzes. Outside of class there will be daily homework and tests that are proctored by the parents so that we have more time together to do experiments. We will use Apologia Chemistry 2nd edition for our textbook and I have copies of the text and solutions manual for each student to borrow for the year. Students must have completed algebra before taking this class. Parents will need to grade all homework and tests, which allows you to still be involved and "in the loop". I will keep a record of all grades and send out periodic progress reports as well as final grades. All materials included with class fee: textbook, solutions manual, and class supplies.
