This class is a good introduction to a more formal science class. The first semester of this class covers a brief history of science, how to analyze and develop experiments, simple machines, and basic geology. The second semester is focused on life science, starting with a general life science background and then focusing on human anatomy. The class will follow Apologia’s General Science textbook with additional material added. In class we will do labs, experiments, and hands-on activities, quizzes, and instruction. Outside of class there will be daily homework and tests that are proctored by the parents so that we have more time together to do experiments. Parents will need to grade all homework and tests, which allows you to still be involved and "in the loop". I will keep a record of all grades and send out periodic progress reports as well as final grades. All materials included with class fee: textbook, solutions manual, and class supplies.
